WELCOME TO OUR NEWEST "CHILD"!!
This is Dixie. She was, in my opinion, abused by being kept in a cage 23 hours a day!! She is 10 months old and a beautiful pure bred Afghan. I tried to find a home for her but was unable to do so. So what choice did I have but to keep her!!!???
With Dixie I now have NINE dogs!! UGGHHH!!! Oh well, I still think I like dogs more than most people!! LOL!! She is a handful though - a REAL handful.

She is adorable. You will have your hands full for sure. Oh well what fun. To bad you are not into hair dressing. You could put rollers and everything in that beautiful mane.
ReplyDeleteShe is just beautiful. How sad about the cage too. I think she will be very happy in her new home. I agree with you about the animals (I have 1 dog and 2 cats) and I like them better than most people too :)
ReplyDeletePeople forget what gifts a dog can be in one's life. We have a teacup pom that is smarter than we are. She is the first dog my sweetheart has had in his whole life. They are such buddies.
ReplyDeleteAnd, she has often been a part of my art. I use her brushed hair for texture. It is an never-ending supply.
Congrats on Dixie!! And thank you for rescuing her from that cage. It is the same as people chaining their dogs up for huge amounts of time, IMHO. She must feel like a giant amongst the other dogs you have.
ReplyDeleteWe have just the 2. The oldest one we got from the pound and is a mongrel breed... she went on to have 7 puppies and we kept one and rehomed the rest. We know where they all are except one.
