This blog is all about me - not my children, my job, my family. Just me. It's great to have a space of my own in the world! Thank you for being here and enjoy your stay! "LIFE ISN'T ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORM TO PASS.......... IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN."

Dance in your kitchen!
Well, here we are!! 2011!!!
Wow! Am I glad 2010 is gone. I don't know what 2011 has in store for us but I believe whole heartedly that it could be a wonderful year for me, my family, for you... for this country. Alot of what keeps us down and in a rut are our own negative thoughts. It is human to get down on ourselves and/or our lives sometimes - there are times when we just can't breathe. But if it were not for those bad times, the good times probably would go by unnoticed wouldn't they?
It's okay to be depressed and overwhelmed sometimes. Let's face it, life has been extremely difficult the past few years. Financial issues will bring stress, stress brings arguments, arguments bring resentment and anger... blah blah blah.
So what to do? How to get by each day without suffocating? I have a little trick for that. If you are feeling depressed or overwhelmed... check your watch. Yes! Check your watch and give yourself exactly 20 minutes to feel sorry for yourself. Once the twenty minutes are up FORCE yourself to do something positive!! Have a bowl of ice cream! Eat Oreo cookies (of course they have to be double filled). Put on some dancing music and dance around your kitchen!! Nobody is watching! Go ahead! Have a ball!!! You know you want to!!! How can ANYONE be depressed or overwhelmed while dancing in their kitchen?

ReplyDeleteDelightful! Love dancing around the kitchen. Love your pages. Wishing you a fabulous 2011 with very brief moments of negativity.
ReplyDeleteHey I get it - sounds like you're "celebrating" too! My word of intent for 2011. There is much to celebrate! Especially that we are succulent, wild, artistic women (SARK)! Dance away!
